Yes, I am a huge John Carpenter fan, and the idea that something becomes real, just because many people believe it, has always been an interesting story idea. I like "The Thing" better, but In the Mouth of Madness" is an excellent story.

Both of them are in my top favorite scary movies. I love "The Thing". It has a bigger impact on my psychologically. They're both great. Another one of my favorites is "Feast", but it's kind of a different breed of horror movie.
